Our family is finally home.
On Friday, July 25th the doors of Dooly County Middle School opened for the 2014 – 2015 school year. We had approximately 300 students on the first day. Faculty, staff and students are excited about this coming school year and we are anticipating continuing the success of our last school year. We’d like to congratulate our STEM club for its 3rd place finish in the regional science fair. And, Mr. Eavin Dawson, school custodian, celebrated 50 years of service in July to the Dooly County School System.
We have planned many academic and non-academic activities for this school year. By the way, our fantastic Dooly County Middle school council (parent organization) is also hard at work putting their calendar together and are looking for new members. One of the first activities this is year is our annual Coke sale from August 18 through September 2, 2014, with pick up of the ordered products beginning September 19 at the school. Our goal this year is $6000. You can make your order by contacting Nancy Slagle at 229-645-3421.
We’d like to welcome to our faculty this year Ms. Latorri West, 6th grade English/Language Arts, Mr. Danny Parham, 7th grade Math, and Mr. James Caldwell, 7th grade Science.
We’re asking the community for their continued support and thank them for all they have done in the past to make Dooly County Middle School a great place to be.
Dec. 22-Jan. 2 is Winter Break @ DCMS.
Faculty & Students return on Mon. Jan. 5 for the 2nd Semester.
